97 Grand Prix w/3.1 v6. What is the gap for the plugs, have original ac 41-940 plugs.. Also any tricks for getting to the 3 cyls nearest the firewall..With this boards help got my heater woes fixed.. Thanks in advance and again for heater advice..

.060 is the gap for those plugs.

you might try removing the engine brackets as suggested here:

unless they are obviously screwed up, don't re-gap the plugs. You can do more damage misaligning the electrodes while re-gapping than correcting a couple thousandths off on the gap would help. As far as the rear plugs, put a jack under the trans pan (with a board to spread the load) and take out the two "dog bone" upper mounts. Jack teh trans up to tilt the engine forward, and the plugs are easy to get to.

i find that if you remove the dog bones and roll the car a lil foward and set the ebrake you can get to them easy as PIE:)

Job done..Removed 2 bolts and 2 nuts from coil bracket and moved coils uo and out of way and was able to get at them fairly easily, did cuss a few times, pretty normal, thanks again..
