Seat belts

I have a 2003 Wrangler and when I go around a corner or hit a bump my seat belt locks up. It is too sensative. The Jeep garage says that nothing can be done about it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Well, I drive an 03 and my seat belts in the front do the same thing. It is very annoying and I have to often readjust them while driving. As for what can be done about it, I am not sure as I have never looked into it up to this point, just put up with it. I would think that having a professional remove them and reinstall them might help. Maybe you need to try a different dealership. It really isn't safe, cause if they lock on you and you have a sudden stop or accident with them in that mode, it can do some serious physical damage to you. Good luck.

Same problem in our '04; I take care of it by leaning back in the seat to put some slack into the belt, it usually loosens up. I think they're a bit too sensitive also, but "that's the way they are" is the line from the dealer.
