I'd hate to break it to you, but you're not going to get out of the ticket, and technically it was your fault. It certainly wasn't the camry's fault, just for making a turn. If you're following an SUV, then you should leave a bigger distance between the two of you. Unless your state is a no-fault state, your insurance will pay for his damage, and depending on how much coverage you have, they may or may not pay for your car.

if you have collision coverage on your car, you will have to pay the deductible to get it fixed, mirrors are easy to replace though, so I'd advise just doing that yourself

If you rear-end someone...it's your fault. They will say that you shouldn't have been following so closely.

but the thing is i wasnt close i had like 2 car lenghts between me and the car ahead of my the thing is that the suv 2 cars ahead of me didnt see it and locked his tires really quickly and then the car ahead of me so its like they went form 45 to like just about 0 in about 2 seconds and its like all i could see is smoke and didnt know wut was going on both car ahead of me locked their tires

you being in a focus, should be able to stop faster than an SUV, if you weren't following to closely, than you weren't paying attention.

yea i fixed my mirror today but the thing is its a one lane road and the first car past on the shoulder which is illagal and i dont thing the camery had its blniker on. honestly i was paying attion and i hit the breaks when the cars ahead of me hit them and they had a lot of smoke comming from their tires so i donno if the camery hit their brakes at the last second or wut i donno

Bottom line is that you are supposed to be able to stop regardless of what happens in front of you. If you fight the ticket you will lose the opportunity to take traffic school. Expect your insurance to increase about 100% the next time you renew. My advice would be to drive very carefully and not to get any tickets, at least untill this one goes off your record.
Some states allow you to take online traffic school. call the clerk and see if they will allow the school and the ticket not show on your record. Some states will not allow school when there is an accident.

I believe the term is 'Being able to stop in an assured safe distance'.

go to court and argue your case, be respectiful but be prepared to lose, now start using the 2 sec rule, when following a vehicle, pick an object, when the vehicle you are following passes, start counting, 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi and you should pass the object, bad weather, allow more room, person your following is right on someones ass, allow more room, the extra room will allow you time to react and get stopped
