Going down the road the other day and my DRL's DIED. The green dash light cycles on and off with the E-Brake. I found the module and checked for voltage on the Green/black wire from the light and to the relay. However I can't locate the relay. It's not on the fuse panel on left side of the dash, nor on the electrical panel in the engine compartment. I've checked all over, but maybe I'm missing something here.
If you have a 99 Suburban and know where the relay is, I would appreciate a detailed discussion on the location,
Thanks
Larry

I have 1999 and there is a module that controls the DRL and buzzer sound (headlight on and engine off, door open and key left in.) as well as other items that is under the dash just to the right of the steering column on the fire wall. It is about 2 inches by 2 inches and black and plugs in. Your might be bad? I hope this help you. Dave

Just found the post and copied them for your reading. You might try it.

Just take the time to resolder it better, it seems the factory cold soldered them and thus they develop hairline cracks, The board is not damaged just needs a better solder.
Post two
Thanks for your advice, last night I removed the wiper delay board and repaired it. I re-soldered 4 or 5 of the connection spots and cleaned off the contactor tips that touch the rotating gear inside the box. It all works fine now!

Turns out it was the 2 volt dropping diode. (The black finned thing on the right side of the steering column.)
Made a jumper of 10ga wire and 2 blade connectors and plugged it in. So far so good and the DRL's are brighter (12V vs. 10V). I'll go to the junk yard (pick and pull) and get one for a couple of bucks. The stealership wants $28.00 and Advance Auto doesn't carry it.
Thanks for all the help guys. :icon16:

Did anything else die? My DRL's are out but the green dash light is on and nothing else is wrong.

Rube: That's the same symptoms I had on mine. Look for a finned block on the support tube going side to side to the right of the steering column. It'll have a wiring connection on one end. It comes off with a 10mm wrench (and a double jointed wrist/lower arm).
