I saw on a coupe civic, white taillights. Not Altezza's... but white. Like 6th Gen coupe taillights without the red. All white.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen these... or has them.
Where can I get them?
Thanks for your help.

All clears have not been in mass production for years now. They are illegal because the reflectors are white and when you shine a light on them it looks like you are in reverse. The reflector has to be red too. Search Ebay, you may be able to find a set on there. The only way I would rock clear tails is paint them either half red, half body color like Ikailburn, or smoke half.

i just got all white tails on my 97 ex. You can find them easily and cheap on ebay. I got mine for around 60 there.
Warning, they arent sae/dot apporoved. GScivic7 is right, they are illegal, you can get a ticket but thats a chance youll have to take if you decide to drive with em. I live in chicago and cops dont care about the petty shit like illegal tails. They got donuts to eat and murders to solve. Take GScivic7's advice and paint half red with transperant red flake or black to smoke them. I think they both look better than the stock red/amber....way better than altezza too.

When you paint them, do you paint the outside of take off the lens and paint it from the inside? If you take off the lens, how do you do that?

Paint from the outside. First you sand them down smooth, then wash with soap and spray light coats of whatever paint you are using.

The same procedure goes for smoking your tails too, however with smoking, you can either go lightly smoked to have a grey tint, or pure black where the red will only show up at night or when your brake lights are on.
good luck.
the link should comletely help you out. if you have any other questions, i can help you out, i smoked and um ...redded my lights before.

Doesn't it look crappy though? I guess if you take the time and do light coats, but after a few months, I would think it would flake off, as the plastic moves a little with temperature.

it didnt look crappy to me. The pure red color lasted me for about 6 months(the amber started to come through), until i smoked them. Nothing flaked off, the color just faded. It never looked horrible. Even if it did look nasty after a few months, its real easy to paint them over again, but that wasnt the case for me. The paint does a good job of masking the stock amber.

I had smoked tails on my del Sol, and as long as you do the prep work correctly, it's all good. The paint on my sol stayed day-one fresh looking for almost a year. but, as a piece of advice... after I sprayed the black on the upper portion (smoked upper half, lower half red), I covered the whole light in high temp, high gloss clearcoat, and a lot of coats of it. Made it all look good. Good luck, and post pics when you're done
