Instrument panel cover removal?

My 1997 Ranger has lots of dirt & dust on the Instrument panel,
behind the clear plastic window.
I've located and removed the 3 screws that hold this Instrument panel
cover , into the top of the dashboard.
Something else is holding this cover assembly to the dash ?
I don't want to force it and break something.
What "else" may be holding it in place ?????

That black plastic piece is actually connected to the dash piece that runs behind steering wheel & around to vent & light switch. You have to remove the panel below steering wheel at knees to get to some lower screws.You also have to pull part of the radio bezel away too, the top right corner of dash piece is under bezel. To clean inside clear plastic, you have to remove that piece(clear plastic) from the cluster with 8 torex screws. It's eaiser to remove entire cluster & then remove clear plastic piece. Good Luck!!

Would these instructions be applicable for a 2002 Ranger?
