Again well done for the americans. I just got off the phone with GM Canada and they WILL NOT be replacing any fuel rails in 95-97's Aurora's here in Canada. Crappers EH?

Her basic response was a) the canadian cars did not have the identical parts b) that the recall was for US cars only and that the Canadian Governing authorities over this problem have not mandated GM Canada to fix this problem. So as for me, I will go and check what my 97 has for fuel rails tomorow and hope and pray that it will be recalled sometime here in Canada. Hopefully before it catches on fire EH?

I'm told that if your fuel rail has the words "GM213M Type F" or "M-Bond" written on the tubing with a dot ink-jet white/yellow printing or is a stainless steel material it will not need to be replaced.

hi... i own a 97 aurora i dont live in canada, but....dont believe it when they tell you the canadian cars are not affected by the recall...when i first heard about the recall, and this was even before i got the letter from olds/gm ( i heard it on a news report) i called olds/gm the very next day..they took my VIN # and looked it up and said my car was NOT AFFECTED because of where it was manufactured (come to find out ALL auroras built in the USA are made at the SAME plant!!!!) and that i did not need to worry...about a month later i get a letter stating my car IS affected and i should get the recall done ASAP to avoid "fire" from leaking fuel rails!!!!! Dont trust what they are saying....get it checked out and VERIFY that your car is not affected.. i personally dont believe canadian built auroras are any different as far as parts
