my 95 needs a new window motor. how hard is it and does anyone have any tips? thanks mike

pull the door panel and unbolt the motor.

Motor assblemy is riveted in.

drill out the rivets. you can purchase a rivet gun at any tool store. your most likely going to need big rivets. make sure the rivet gun you purchase can hold the bigger sized rivet die.

I replaced one in my 93 and used short bolts instead of rivets to put it back in. It worked great and will be much easier to take off if there is a next time.

That Is A Good Idea. Rivets Are A Pain. I Would Go With That Method.

yep, 1/4" bolts and put the head towards the door panel.

Make sure the bolts aren't to long though.The window regulator needs to clear the bolts,or your window won't go up and down the whole way.

thanks to everyone, it was alot simplier than i thought. i had some 1/4" screws and ground the heads down to about the same height as the head on the rivets and put them in with the heads out. put nuts with lock washers on and is good as new! thanks again everyone
