Got it hotwired!!!

well I got it hotwired,but found the starter was bad. Has anyone replaced an ignition switch on a b2000 before? If so was it a pain in the rear or easily done?

I havent but will read the steps provided in chilton's. Its for a 2600 but should be same:
disconnect batt ground
remove steering column cover
disconnect harness at switch
remove attaching screw and lift out switch
install in reverse order
