This might not be the correct terminology for it but i need a car bra for my 97 chevy, i went to napa autoparts to check it out and they said they would order one for me for 75$. Is this reasonable, and what and where should i go to get one if it isnt the best option?

that's pretty reasonable. I don't recommend that people put bra's on cars, though. First, they ruin paint, because they trap moisture underneith that never gets out. Second, your paint won't fade like the rest of the car, and if you have the car for a couple of years and were to take the bra off, you'd notice a definate line where the bra was and wasn't. Third, in my opinion, they went out of style a long time ago, and give cars (especially newer ones) a cheesy look to them. I know that they do keep rock chips, etc. away though, so i guess you need to weigh what's more important.

personaly i think car bras are ugly. if you are worried about bugs on the hood, i had a clear vinyl "bug deflector" put on the front of my hood. it covers the first 2.5 - 3 inches of the front of the hood.

if you look for it you will see it but driving around no one should notice.

if its the bumperyou are worried about. if you wash the car on a regular basis it should keep the bugs from eating away at your paint. if it is already bad find someone to buff the bumer. i have a friend that used to detail cars and after he got done with mine it looked bran new.
