Towing capacity 03' S-10 ZR2

I just bought a S-10 ZR2 with a 4.3 liter Vortec. I am also thinking of buying a new boat that weighs about 3700lbs. Now my towing capacity is 4700lbs. Could someone tell me if 3700lbs is to much to tow for long periods, and if even though i'm under the gross trailer weight, my truck will even tow this boat very well?

If that boat weight includes the trailer, you should be fine. Some sort of brakes on the trailer would be a plus. Also, tow in drive, not overdrive when hauling heavy loads.
