Since I bought my e30 I have had a cold start problem with it, when it sits overnight or even just for 15 minutes. It turns for about 6 seconds and then cranks. Since I bought it I have replaced distribuor cap/rotor, temp. sensor, spark plugs, fuel filter, and pressure regulator...so whats next. I know this could be caused by a few things, but I would say I have eliminated some possibilities with the work done above. Sometimes I get a slight fuel odor when It finally starts up. Other then this my car doesn't hesitate while driving, and idles perfectly.
Thanks to all for any input.

i also had the same problem on my old E30 the problem was linked to the "rubbers" connecting the injectors to the engine. If they are old and when they are cold air can pass through them to the engine and you'll have a problem starting the car. But when they get hot they enlarge and close any gaps. Check them.
Thanks
