I just purchased a 1992 Talon, 2.0L (non-Turbo),FWD, Auto... HAve had it for 1 month and was driving home and it stalled out. Started again after sitting for 10 minutes, then the next night did the same thing, Now it will not start. *** NO SPARK ***. Have run the standard tests for checking coil pack, crank sensor and Ign Transistor, I think I have narrowed it down to the transistor unit, but am not 100 % sure. just wondering if there is a common problem with a NO START condition. I really like this car but dont want to sink too much money into it so any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Check the ignition switch fuse, and ignition switch itself.

Thanks,
Got it fixed, it was the crank sensor.....i always thought that when the crank sensor went, ...that was it, but hey guess I have alot more to learn about these cars, lol
Went out and bought crank sensor, Power Transistor, ECU (automatic)and Coil pack. Selling ECU, Coil Pack and Power TRansistor (91 to 94)

yo i can help you out i think. U done everything and it still wont start. So one of my friends told it its the ignition coil right... It is a chip thats in the distributer that is blown or burnt. try changing the chip in the Distributer igniton coil.

the problem was...I WASHED MY ENGINE..this is a big NO,NO on these cars, blew the crank sensor. found a used car and took the parts from it. crank sensor was the first part i tried and it started, so i would try that first, then just keep looking thru tis site and asking questions, worked for me. and once againi say thanks to those who helped out.
