These guys...
Sounds like they just read these forums and did their show based on that...
"KA24 is a lump"
"Thats a truck motor man!"
Haters...
This show is weak...
Anyways, another useless post by me.

Yea, I hate that show. It is such a trite show. Not really worth watching. The only thing I really like to watch on Speed is F1 and superbike races. Occasionaly I watch 2 wheel Tuesday.

I can't ever catch that stuff. Not to mention, I don't get speed at home. I have C-Band (old skool)analog satellite. I get to watch it at work occasionaly. I got to see one LeMans race.

some of the stuff they do is pretty sick though.
they converted a FWD paseo into a RWD car. that was a pretty neat show.
when they messed with the EVO. it was pretty nice too. they even had shiv vishnu come and tune the car personally, and gave it a individual fuel cell and have a switch to switch between maps. it was a nice car.
they also turboed a IS300.
overall, its a pretty good show. ( or atleast the episodes that i catch )

yeah they dump on the ka24 alot but most of the other shows are not that bad... the toyota FWD to RWD on the paseo was really cool. and the lexus is300 didn't turn out that bad as for most of the other cars they did, but they do say some really dumb stuff (trying to be funny).

i don't remember when it was (probably a coupe of years ago) but i saw an IS300 transformed into an IS430 (the 4.3 V8 from the GS) with a 6-speed trannie (not that big of a deal) but it was sick.. the IS is one of my dream cars.. i cream my pants when i get to drive them at work.. i think somebody should have a complete ka-t fully done to the tits and send some info into a show to prove the point that the ka is better than what some people make it out to be.. even if it was intended to be a truck engine, i think it fits very well into the sports car world

It was on Rides, last season I think, it was Chip Foose and Rod Millen who did it (body and engine, respectivaly).
And you get to drive IS300s at work?? Damn I want your job!!...What is it? lol

If by neat you mean ghey then sure
when they messed with the EVO. it was pretty nice too. they even had shiv vishnu come and tune the car personally
Prolly had something to to with them being too dumb to do it themselves
they also turboed a IS300.
Turbo 3S-GE BEAMS > Turbo 2JZ
overall, its a pretty good show.
Not by a long shot.
D.R.F.T. - you need to spend some time playing with letter blocks because when you get owned by the word B-E-C-A-U-S-E you've got hoes.

you can't argue with the engineering that went into the show by converting a FWD to a RWD and still keep it on the stock unibody. you may think its gay but i'm impressed witht eh skills involved to completely change everything like that. i mean not alot of placed can do shit like that. most RWD converted cars are either transverse mounted RWD, or by longituditionally mounted RWD but on a tube frame body.
yes in the end the car still looked kinda ugly, it still have drum brakes, the graphics are ugly, and iw ould've used a torsen diff instead of a manuel locking poxy traction diff.
but reguardless that was a interestin episode, i even stayed up to finish that episode. but yes i can feel you becaus ei always have a feeling before each show thinking "i wonder how they're goin to fuck up this car " but so far all of them i've seen are decent.

man, i must be catching all the shitty episodes, although i only saw 2 and that sealed the deal that i'd never watch that POS show anymore. one episode, they took a stock RX-8 and "tricked it out". the sum-bitches put some lame ass yellow tribal graphics (on a red rx-8), some fugly cheap chrome looking wheels and some nos. now i can live with the nos being installed, but the wheels and graphics fagged it up badly. the other episode they took this pro drag racer chick's Civic EX, and lets just say it wasnt even worth remembering. i do kinda recall them doing that sil80 conversion on that one 240, but i kinda forgot what else went on, thats the only episode i actually liked. i saw the IS430 on rides though, yummmmmmmmmm........and that fastforward fastback mustang, woooooooooo!

What Is Poxy Traction?
I've Heard Of Posi Tract Which Is A Gm Product Name..... But Poxy Traction Is Beyond Me.

sorry about hte miss spelling, but it does basically the same thing as the GM diff. the only difference is that on that paseo it only locks when you hit a switch. which i think its kinda dumb because i would rather get continous variable tq split between left and right wheel for a drift varying by wheel speed rather then a fully locked diff. thats more for rock crawling, or just straight up drag racing.

i didn't think they had unlimited budget, i think thats why they were stuck with using the live axle.

It Would Cost As Much To Go Independant.... Just Pull Everything From A Supra. With The Cutting And Welding They Did They Could Have Very Well Done A Irs Suspension Just As Easily As The Live Axle.

that is also true, they can probrably find a rear end from a mark 2 supra, and just weild t he whole subframe underneth. hmmmmm oh wellz, i guess they didn't feel like looking for one. yeah a IRS would be much better on that car. oh wellz.
