Ls Vtec timing belt

Where can i get info.. just set up a timing belt... Today I put on my head on my block ... I set up the cams where the marks are together and I just sliped the belt on the cams ,..Then I try to turn the ex.. cam couple times spun 3 or 4 times and then it lock...then I did that so the TDC mark was up..It did not lock.... I spun the engine couple times to see if the valve did not hit the piston....I am doing this right...(YOU SPUN THE ENGINE CLOCKWISE OR COUNTERWISE.. :uhoh: .)
