88 caprice head unit??

how do i install a newer model head unit into an 88 caprice classic? what colors go together. it is an older color scheme than i am used to. is there a special adapter i can buy for it? or do i have to splice them. i realize that this is in the wrong forum, but noone in the caprice forum is like...there. figured you guys could help me out. thanks

you can buy a harness that you solder onto your HU harness, thenit just plugs into your factory harness so you dont have to cut or splice any of the cars wires.. makes things much easier.. if you have any car audio installation shops around, they should have one for you
