'01 coupe warning lights Please help

What is the difference between the Service Engine and the Service Vehicle light. The vehicle on has been coming on intermittedly recently and now the Engine light too.. What is the difference in these two warnings. thanks.

The ENGINE light comes on to tell you there is a problem related to your engine, things like the emissions control and various other items related to the engine. The VEHICLE light deals with the rest of the car. It will usually come on when things like your ABS and various other none-engine related problems rise. I would suggest having the codes read from the computer. This will tell you exactly what is causing the warning light to come on. From that you can resolve any problems the car is starting to have. I think "Auto zone" will read the codes for free.
