Texas Rally!

OK boys and girls, after promising to do this for some time, I *finally* nailed down the first Texas Rally in 2.5 years (yes, it really has been that long).

Texas Rally VIII (or is that IX?) will be held Saturday, April 20 at Throttle Position Motorsports in Denton, TX. In the next couple of weeks, I'll get a map, directions, and other things up regarding the event.

For those of you who don't know, Throttle Position Motorsports is owned and run by Vince McCurley, formerly of Courtesy Nissan.

If you are in Texas, or close enough to make it, put this on your calender. I know there are a lot of SR20/QR25 owners in Texas that have never been to one of these events. So plan on this. Hopefully this is plenty of advance notice.

Here in my country we have a lot of rally (last year a Nissan Primera won in N3 class).
Its a very impressive race.

I believe its not a rally...

George just likes the sound of "Texas rally", I believe its more of a meet and greet / hangout..

As two seperate statments you are right about all of this, however. But like Brian said, it's not a race that Geroge is putting on.

Maybe i can finally find out whats wrong with my gas milage.......

I did not give these meets that name. IIRC, it was Jeff Naeyaert who coined the phrase and it stuck pretty quickly.

It's in North Dallas.

I will be posting maps and direction in the next couple of weeks. Right now I'm just trying to finish up our audit at work.

Yeah, me too. :) Before the SoCal folks finally got organized, the Texas Rallies were the largest gatherings of SR20 folks in the country.

I really like rallying. A friend I used to race karts with used to run SCCA Pro Rally. Pretty cool stuff.
