91 Accord SE Automatic with 170,000 on. Just bought recently.

Run on 87 octane

MPG - I just got a 25.7 mpg driving to work up and down a few hills (10 miles) with a 10 mile flat stretch of 40-50 MPH.

Range - with a 17 gallon tank I can easily break 400 on a tank. It was not quite (1/8 " to go) hitting the red at "E" yet and warning light had not come on either. Used 14.4 gallons & went 370 miles.

This was all done with a VERY light foot on the pedal and car in perfect state of tune. Not bad, considering the car is only rated at 23 & 28 I think.

On a trip (which I have never done) I should be able to get at least 29-32 I would guess??

If thats pure city driving I don't think thats too bad! It can't be rated much higher for the city, can it?

Just watch what after market parts your putting on as personally I don't think the cold intakes work at all from what I have read....just make more intake noise.

From what you want to put on sounds like you might have a heavy foot?

Just try one time staying as light as you can on the throttle and if it's a manual, shift early and an auto, make it shift early into the next higher gear as much as possible.

Honestly, I did every trick possible to squeeze MPG'S out of it, just to see what it is capable of. Normal driving will bring it down just a bit and more so if the wife drives. :lol2:

I'm never in a hurry so it will be pretty close to this all the time.

My 95 has gotten as low as 18.5 mpg (Alot of traffic that week..) and as high as 28.2 mpg...my average is is like 23.7...and I put an short ram on recently...so hopefully it will go up...and Huffa...I agree..just dont let her drive:D:D Unless she is a ricer too...then say "f*** you, go get your own car" ( I dont mean to be mean, but its soo hard sometimes...) And this is going like 80-85 or 90 on the highway, 40-50 everywhere else...

I get horrible milage with Supersyntetic motor oil "racing synt" I do get a lot of power though, was able to beat a fixed up Delsol with single passenger against my stock 4cyl accord with 3 person inside lol. But yea i only get about 280mile/tank with that motor oil vs the regular syntetic that I can get up to 330mile/tank (14gal) and my car is tunned almost every month.
