Whats your favorite? Inline 4, Inline 6, V6, V8? I know theres others such as rotory, opposed, and v10, 12 but there not as common so I'm not going to include them in the poll.

My favorite has got to the the I6. I spent about two years doing research on I6's awhile back and they prove to be the best all around motor in my oppinion. They offer the power and torque of a v8 with the high reving capablitys of I4's, and have a very nice powerband with most of the power available in the low 3,000rpm range. When built right you can rev extreamly high (I'v had my I6 to 9,500rpm before). I have also owned all four of these types, currently own a I4, I6, and V6. Anyway Just wanted some of yalls oppinions, althought I'm sure being in a honda forum the I4 will win out.

i didnt vote becuase i dont have a favorite, buti'd just like to add that technically the V6 is the most "stable" of all engines, being that pulses in groups of three make the least amount of harmonic vibration. In that since, a fully built V6 with a small stroke could rev very high and make a lot of torque and power to back up the revs

what does harmonic vibration and small stroke have to do with making torque? The shorter the stroke the less torque a motor will make.

My Gremlin (http://www.geocities.com/tsc_kustomz/index.htm) Pictures are about three years old.

Didnt include rotary because there not common, only one american car comes with them. However they may be a far suppior design than piston type motors. I'v never owned one, but I'd love to have one. I'm wanting to build a turbo rotory ford escort wagon soon (with full kevlar body), ugly, fast, and bullet proof.. cant beat that combination.

1st let me say I'm a 14 guy..of course :) all my cars have been honduhs except one (hyundai Scoupe TURBO, :lol: )

Now I'm probably gonna get flogged here for typing this but you have to admit there is just something about the v8 engine that a near stock/non Forced Induction 1-4 can never have. My dad was a domestic guy through and through, his 72 camaro is still at my grandmas house and Driving that car is a blast. The low end power is orgasmic! Then again I am easily amused ;; goes back to playing with building blocks ;;
