What's the quality of this kit?

Hi guys,

I'm planning on buying an Impreza model soon. I'm searching for a good looking model. I don't want to buy the Tamiya one as I want to do that one with enginedetail and stuff some day, just got no time for it yet. I thought this model would look nice:

It's the Fujimi Tommy Kaira Impreza. It looks pretty good. I've seen Pman's one and with some detailing it can look pretty good. But I'm very interested in the quality of the kit. How is the fitment? How detailed is the kit? Does it come with extra bodyparts and stuff?

I know you guys can answer my questions :)

Thanks in advance.

As far as the quality of car kits are concerned, no one can top Tamiya, period. This includes the fitting, interior details, design of the body; simply you'll have less of a hard time with any Tamiya kit.
If the Tamiya version is available, no you don't want the Fujimi version, unless it's their Enthusiast Model Series (which is better in some way than Tamiya).

The Fujimi kit doesn't come with engine details, so whichever you get, you'll need Studio27's engine kit, or snatch the engine from the Maisto diecast.

probably usual Fujimi. Low detail, but if you work hard on it, it will look good

Hmm, I don't think you told me anything new. I know the Tamiya cars are great when it comes to detail and fitment. But there's no model of this Impreza except for the WRC ones. I don't want a street converted rally car. I also know about the Studio27 engine kit. That's what I'm planning for the Tamiya STi car :D

Now I want to know from someone how built this car. Some experiences...

2 Vric:
I already knew it's hard work on Fujimi kits. But it's worth it most of the time :D

Its not a bad kit...detail is low(usual basic Fujimi stuff).
Still a nice kit to add to a collection though

That's what I was waiting for. Tipical Fujimi stuff :D Thanks Pman. I'll buy it soon. You'll be hearing from this one :naughty:

Yup, I've seen it. It looks pretty good. I'm 100% sure I'll not add the huge wing :D I'll add something more subtile I think. Maybe I'll modify the front as well. I'm not going for the original TK Impreza look as you might understand :D
