Brand New 05 Tacoma Leans!!

I brought home my brand new 2005 Double Cab last week. The other day I noticed that the truck was leaning to the driver's side. I tried putting the truck in various positions and it still favors the driver side. I realize that the gas tank is on that side, but it is almost empty. Is it possible that the truck left the factory with something wrong with the suspension??

take it back to dealer. Maybe bad spring. I am sure you paid to much to have a truck that leans.

I have already contacted the dealer and they were thrown for a loop. They tried contacting corporate in California for advice. I have yet to hear back from them (2 days ago). As for the tires, I had those checked and they are the same all the way around. Besides, I think the dealer measured the difference between the rear axle and frame. Thanks so much for the concern.

I noticed that on my 2000 Prerunner for the entire time I've owned it and never could convince myself it really was. Have you measured.

I own a '05 double cab trd sport and I don't notice a lean. I think it may just be unique to your truck... Review the lemon laws for your state... probably made on a monday or a friday :)

The dealer is very active in trying to figure the problem out. They have already replaced the driver side leaf springs, re-adjusted the front suspension, and the truck still leans to the left. The lean is only about an inch or two difference from the other side. They have some field techs coming up from their regional headquarters. They said the next step would be to replace the front coil. The lean is not as noticeable while on the street, but very apparent when parked in a driveway or parking lot (all level surfaces). I guess we'll have to see if the next step does anything.

Just an update on this problem of mine. They fixed it!!!!! Turns out to be a bad left front spring from the factory. Whew!!

I thought this was a known issue in Tacomas. My 02 slightly leans. I've heard this was due to the gas tank being on that side.
