who makes the best supercharger? I know that Jackson's racing is probably the best known but i have heard and read that vortex makes one that is more powerful. are there any other ones that are good? and who makes the best?

i only know of the vortech and jackson racing ones. the vortech makes higher peak hp but not til late in the rpms. the JR has a flatter torque curve, more usable power. the vortech's torque curve rises like its hp curve. it builds power as the engine spins (rpms). for serous all out racing, neither. get a turbo. :p
but b/w the jackson racing and vortech, i'd have to go with jackson racing all the way.

more or less yeah. i would say if you're gonna get the vortech, you may as well just get a turbo. but if you're set on a supercharger, the jackson racing.

I agree with this guy/girl. I think Jackson develops a better product. If you want to keep your car/engine forever and don't plan on throwing a rod soon, go with the Jackson. It serves as a direct replacement for the intake manifold and is already desinged to increase HP/TQ not only by providing mass inducted airflow, but it's also designed to do it smoother by increasing the size of the runners on the intake manifold.
Vortech is a great product, but the install looks like a nightmare. Never seen one or rode in one, though, so I can't comment on the performance. I have, though, experienced an S-Trim on a street legal stroked 1993 Cobra running 134 octane fuel producing over 600HP at the wheels. Wow. They really know their stuff.
Too bad you can't get that kind of kick out of a Honda. Feels like taking off in an F-15. We hit 80MPH in second (TKO with hardened gears) twice and I almost had to yack.
