Veilside S14 - Progress

Ok, so I said I would never post progress again but I'd like to see what it is like doing progress on a more popular car then a 1967 Firebird.
It's an old model and some of the people here will remember it from way back, I decided I had alot of Japanese car parts lying around and nothing to put the rest of my stereo bits in so I decided to use this, and playing the Need For Speed Underground 2 demo played a part aswell. I'm thinking about opening, suiciding and/or gullwinging it's doors, paint could be something bright like orange, yellow, gold. Interior could be black & greys.
I don't know alot about what looks great on Japanese cars so give suggestions but I'll only use what I have, I'm trying to clean out to start fresh.

Let me give you some suggestions... First of all... clean the model... :grinyes: Then clean the cutting line in the rear bonnet/hood, the rims should stay and as for the colours, I would suggest you paint it yellow (chrome yellow), with cf hood and spoilers. As for the interior, I think blue would suit the yellow exterior, give it a two tone (light and dark blue) colour for a change... I think this colour combo suits the ICE unit in the back... then again, this is just my :2cents:

Overall plan sounds good, but why not start fresh with a new kit.

I meant cleaning out as in using as much of my supplies and spare parts now and throwing out the ones that are not useable and buying new kits again, I have an entire cupboard of model boxes, all old models, some destroyed some still there waiting to be redone. I've got 5 models underway now and I'd like to clean out my stocks and start clean, get one new model going at a time.
I understand what you mean druid but why yellow with blue interior, personally cars with that combo that I have seen at shows make my eyes hurt.
Thanks for the input, keep it coming and I'll post more pictures tomorrow. The wheels are some old Blitz split 5 spokes by the way.

I think it looks nice, and rare seeing a black Veilside S14. Nice color choice.
Also it is not easy for cutting the taillight for the opened trunk, as tailights are thin and fragile to be cut, I think you did a great job. :sunglasse

Seems to be a cool project, but why change what you build to suit everyone elses tastes? If they don't like what you build, the hell with them!! Keep them muscle cars coming!!!!!!!!
