the people that are selling the parts for cheaper are usually warehouses that buy large quantities of waht ever prod. it may be and get the prod for a cheaper price...for ex. Sams club, you can buy a 35 economy pack of hot dogs for 3 dollars or you can buy the 8 pack of hot dogs at winn dixie for 5 dollars. buying on ebay can be a good and a bad idea, just make sure you read peoples feed backs on the before you bid.

Agreed, there are great deals to be had on ebay. You just need to check feedback, especially if your buying from individuals instead of company's.

Ebay has become a breeding ground for worthless junk to sell, I have to skip thru hundreds of junk items to find good stuff :(

They don't call it the worlds largest flea market for nothing.

Furture303 mentioned "junk" - there is a site called racingjunk.com that has tons of stuff on it.

I bought my 67 Stang on E-Bay a few years ago, got a really good deal. I've been bidding on another carb, but boy does the bidding go crazy during the last hours. I eventually found a decent used 600 Holley at my local hot rod shop for $25.

I also looked around for an exhaust for my car on e-bay and i was about to bid on one but then i noticed the outragous shipping charge! Some good deals can be found on e-bay but a lot of companies charge a little more for products and will give you free shipping, so it might be cheaper to get it from a well known company, plus if something is wrong with it you should be able to return it.

I've had bidding go crazy in the last few minutes. If you want it you better bid high.

As far a shipping goes your right I've seen outrages shipping charges for stuff too. Check out summit they've got some pretty good prices if your not having luck on ebay.
