is there ANY thing different about putting a 91-94 engine in a 89-90??? would it be the exact same thing as putting a 91-94 engine in a 91-94?
please help me out!

yes it would, but 89-90 (i think) doesn't have power steering and crap. I am more then shure that there are PLENTY of threads in which it's all explained.

89-90 do have power steering. It is just the fact that it is on the passenger side on the SOHC. On the DOHC KA24DE, it is on the driver side(the pump, and reservior).

You'll need power steering lines, pump, reservoir and tach from a 91-94. If anything else, I dunno.

might have to get a new exhaust system cause the 89-90 has welded cats(meaing the exhaust is one pipe from the header/downpipe to the muffler) and 91-94 has bolt on flanges.

yea the 91-94 ka24de does bolt right in....as a matter of fact i'm doin the swap right now.....and it's going into a '89 240sx coupe....but make sure you kno where all the vacuum hoses go...because if not you will get stuck....

if you want to keep the A/C you need to do something with that like redo the lines or figure a way to keep the SOHC compressor

i don't know about the rest
