new engine?

My 97 taco is getting leaky. I'm starting to see oil leakage from the head gaskets, and she just dosen't deliver the kind of power I want. The leakage is probably due to the fact that the truck sits.....alot. Do I rebuild maybe low compressoin pistons with a nice big vortech supercharger, or say screw it and get a nice used 1UZ?
