i have my MTX 902 2 channel amp powering 2 10 in alpine type r's, I have it wired series/parallel and for some reason its not powering them very well unless i have the gain up most of the way and the amp gets to hot to touch and it shuts off, i belive because of the heat, oh and i have 0 ga coming from the battery into a dist block that runs a 4 gauge wire to the amp. the amp accepts 0ga, could to small a wire be whats causen it to get to hot? help! =(

Re-check your wiring and see if you are running it at the specified impedence. Chances are, your impedence is lower than the amp can handle, and cause it to burn up.

Make sure you have tight connections, expecially the ground wire/s!
