Which is a better pcm to buy the one reprogrammed by pfyc or the one reprogrammed by digital horsepower inc.? 15 dollar diff in price. That and how do the reprogrammed pcms affect gas mileage as compared to stock? Let me know thanks.

If I had to chose between the two you've listed, I'd pick the DHP. Why? Because the guys at DHP do the work in-house and can answer your questions if you have a problem.
Gas mileage will only be affected because you will be driving the car harder.

digital horsepower is what I use. I also have one spare and one stock. The reason for the stock is, if you ever take it to the dealer. They will put it back to stock. They won't even ask. They find it and they will say, that's your trouble.
As far as gas milage. I was getting 14 MPG when I added it. I get 14.2 now. Not saying it made any change to my milage. My driving has changed, a litttle. But with all the junk I have on it, I think 14.2 is good.

Although I've heard the PFYC PCM is ok, I'd go with the DHP. It's well designed and they stand behind their product. Your gas mileage shouldn't change substantially unless you continually step on it.

PFYC is the first reprogramed PCM that hit the market years ago and has older program and was great in its day. Then came along DHP and offered advanced programing and also offered fan turn when car is shut off.I think for the money and what ive read is you might want to look into the PCM from Intense-racing and it is cheaper then the other two $169.00 + $100.00 core charge and they have them for both the GT and GTP.
www.Intense-racing.com
INTENSE™ Standard PCM - $169.99 plus $100.00 core charge*
Ideal for stock to slightly modded cars with induction mods, exhaust mods, smaller supercharger pulley and/or rocker arms - features speed limiter removal, slightly higher shift points (~6,000 RPM)** and rev limiter (6,200 RPM) , proprietary transaxle shift behavior adjustments**, air/fuel adjustments, automatic ignition timing adjustments (+3°), knock retard decay rate adjustment, cooling fan control adjustments (180°), cooling fans on at key-off for 180 seconds, will require the use of premium fuel.

Kid-
I still get around 22 running a DHP 1.0, 3.4, 180* t-stat, SLP CAI, and U-bend delete. What else do you have on there that's bringing your mileage to 14? Or could it be that lead foot?

Good afternoon Bid-L,
Read Christmas Gift. Left you a short message.
You must have 3, 200 GHz hard drives to keep all that information handy. Or you type faster then I, and have a great memory.

My big trouble with gas milage is, my big right foot. I wear a size 10, and a 20 shoes.
My GT always get great mileage. My GTP not bad till I put the air box and 3.4 pulley. Feel in love with the sound. Go figure.

As I said, I've done that going McDonals drive thru.
My poor mileage is all me. Not the car. Cass and Big-L could take my car for a month and the milage would good to 25 MPG. One second thought, it would come back at 9 MPG and I would have to buy new tires.

On the reprogramed PCM? I thought this is what started all this. Oh I know. Cass got into this. You know he's a trouble maker. Wait till I become a big shot around here. I'm going to send him and email.

PCM is always a good starting place, It seems to put it all together. But, make sure you have a stock one, for "sevice calls". Two people on this site I email for information on what I should add to my cars. Cass and Big-L. Because as we all know, everything looks and sounds good when we are looking for parts. These two guys, stop and think of your car as theirs. I've always been the type that buys, pays for and set them on a bench. Because it is what I needed. I write them and say, "here the money I am working with. What should I buy'? They have never been wrong.
I think you have a good start. I won't tell you everything that I have on my car. But I will tell you things that I have tried as people ask.
Now that's a book. Happens everytime I have sugar.
