1990 Speed Control box

Just have a quick question. Does the speed control box in a 1990 celica gt-s 5-spd talk to the 5s-fe ECU .....and if so can i disconnect it and run better with out it on a JDM 3s-ge ECU??

...my problem is this i have just installed a 2nd gen 3s-ge engine and my car is running like shit ...i have replaced the a140-e JDM ecu that i have got with the engine for a JDM M/T ecu, because i thought that it the auto ecu was trying to get info from the auto trans .....

is the car now auto or manual? it can be NUMEROUS amounts ofthings... has it ever ran good.... did you relace all the sensors or use the existing 5sfe ones ( you definatly have to replace any and all sensors that involve fuel or anything that has to do with the head)
