hello all,
my girlfriend just bought a 1978 k5 blazer 4x4. it has no motor, trans or transfer case. she wanted me to rebuild it for her so i already boughta gm crate motor. she does not want me to replace the transfer case so i bought a standard turbo 350 trans. my question is: how hard is it to convert 4wd to 2wd? i know that sounds crazy and i tried to talk my girlfriend into leaving it 4wd but she is firm in her decision. what is involved in the conversion? is it impossible to find parts? i already found a guy who would build me a driveline, but as far as the trans crossmember, what do i do?
thanks for all the help.

Not too hard wth the right person doing the fabrication.
But in reality, your gf needs a reality check not keeping the 4x4.
She will pay more getting it to 2wd than she would keeping it 4x4.

If she ever wants to sell. 4wd gets more $$$ than 2wd.
