Hi--After doing the hood hinge replacement (great fix by the way, blazer LT) my 2000 Jimmy SLT 4WD still makes suspension noise when it is going very slowly near the right front shock, but only when warm. It does not make the noise when cold???

can't say...last pair I had put in were still under warranty. But, they are not difficult to get at....probably a 45min to 1 hr each plus parts

I would take a look at the sway bar end links and bushings before you do anything.

#24 and #25 are the two to look at.

Sorry near left front shock, feels like it is under my feet while driving...also when I push on the left front corner of the truck it makes the squeeking sound when warm, not cold and sporadically. Maybe something is dry?

Have you greased the 11 grease fittings on your truck?

Sounds like a balljoint needs grease.

Yeah, the balljoints were greased today for free when I had new Monroe Sensa Tracs installed. Car is literally riding like new and soundproof after the grease job, hood hinge replacement, and new shocks in the past two weeks...Thanks BLT, let's see how long we can go without a problem...!

Pep Boys has free installation all this month on Monroe shocks, so I figured what the hell...I was surprised to see that the originals were Bilstein, (we have owned since new). I checked the wholesale price of the shocks on line and they were only 2 dollars more at PB...They also let me check a couple other things while it was on the lift. Wouldn't want them to do much else, but for free labor, 2 hours after they did a full diagnostic, checked transfer and diff levels and alignment check. (also free).

Much, much, much better than the GMC dealer here in Chicago.

He's got a point there.

I have never heard of Bilsteins wearing out after 4 years.

They were shot, in four years. Didn't know about the lifetime guarantee but I had Bilsteins on my 911 racer and switch over to Konis...no compare. Why is everyone crazy about BS...??

BTW--The 120.00 I spent on the new shocks means nothing compared to how happy I am I didn't replace my whole front end trying to find the rattle.
