Just replaced the rad on the 93 4.0. After 4 days there is a serious tranny fluid leak at the lower hose section of the rad. Its really hard to see down there. do u think the rad is cracked or some clamps would do the trick. Its hard to see down there even under the vehicle

Tranny fluid coming out of your radiator? Hmmm...odd, but sounds like a tranny line is bad. If the radiator were cracked, I'd assume you'd see coolant, not tranny fluid.

HI THERE ARE 2 LINES RUNNING FROM TRANSMISSION TO RADIATOR, THERE IS A COOLING CHAMBER MOLDED :naughty: INSIDE THE RADIATOR IT COOLS THE TRANISMISSION FLUID IN TRANNY. THEY USED TO BE STEEL CONNECTIONS ,BUT SOME MAKES USE A DIFFERENT CONNECTION THAT SNAPS INTO PLACE THESE HAVE A O RING SEAL, THAT YOU SHOULD CHANGEBEFORE HOOKING LINES UP. HAVE THE ONES THAT PUT RADIATOR IN FIX THEM NOW BEFORE YOU LOSE TRANNY FLUID, AND RUIN THE TRANNY . DALE :naughty: :nono: :screwy:

It is the seal in the line connector it seems. we put a new o ring into the end of the connector, still leaks. Gonna buy 2 new lines, F%!king fedex charges!

this morn mech came, placed new o-ring into hose connection. no leak so far. He suggested getting new hose still since he's not sure how long it might last. Fingers crossed
