hello...
I had just had the waterpump replaced, and timing belts on the car for overheating issues, the car ran fine for a week, now the car will not start at all. The engine turns over, there is plenty of battery power, but it will not fire over. I pumped the hell out of the gas peddle and smell no fuel smell..
with having these two items replaced, waterpump, and timing belt, is there anything that could have been 'accidently' disconnected or messed with to cause this problem now? its never had a starting problem ever.. any help would be appreciated.
thank you
jj

Have someone turn the ignition but not crank it while you stick your head in the trunk or under the gas tank. You should hear the fuel pump turn on momentarily. If not, it may be pooched.

fyi fuel injection does not respond to pumping the gas ....... check for loose connections or pinched wires in the area of the repair

take the car back where you had the work done previously, since replacing the pump and belt requires tearing engine down from on top you could easily have a loose connector or if the belt tensioner wasn't tighten correctly, your belt could have jumped a few teeth, (not good) well good luck!
