Fuel Pressure Regulator

Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 1997 Grand Cheroree Lorado with a 4.0 Liter eng?

My car wouldn't start (No spark) I suspected the Crankchaft Pos. Sensor, I had it towed to a service station and had them replace the CPS and install a new battery cable harness. Now it gets a spark but will not Idle, I am getting fuel to the gas rail but it will not idle.

When it starts and it idles fine, I disconnect the Idle Air Control and it seemed to be working fine.

I read that not idling could be caused by a bad coil, I will test mine.

Just in case I would like to look at the fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks in advance, Jose.

HI, CHECK THE IDLE AIR CONTROL, IT GETS BUILD UP DIRT IN THE SLOT AREA INSIDE BORE AREA. YOU CAN GET A SPRAY CAN OF THROTTLEBODY CLEANER AND HOLDING ON HIGH IDLE USE SHORT BURSTS SPRAY INTO SLOT CLEAN IT OUT GOOD. ( DO NOT SPRAY ON THE SENSORS OR THE HOUSINGS OF THE SENSORS ) THE FUEL PUMP PRESSURE REGULATOR IS MOUNTED ON TOP OF FUEL PUMP MODULE AT FUEL TANK, IT CAN BE CHANGED WITH OUT REMOVING FUEL PUMP MODULE FROM TANK, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO LOWER GAS TANK. HOPE THIS HELPS DALE

My care is runnig again. After replacing the Crankchaft Position sensor it started fine - for a day. Then it would be real slow in cranking the first time and start but would not idle. If I fed it gas it would run but not idle.
I checked the battery voltage at load and it dropped down to 6.8 volts.
I replaced the battery as it was fairly aged and it started fisrt time and every time. It idles fine and and runs just like before.

Thanks for the helping advice and personal experiences, Jose.
