Front wheels not working in 4x4

Ok
I just took my blazer into the dealership, it's a 1995 4 door LS 4x4 with electronic shift tcase (not auto trac). Appearantly they "installed new vacuum switch, wiring harness, & trans" the last part got cut off and I'm pretty sure they didn't install a new transmission ;)
This was all under warranty as part as a recall. So what i'm getting at is when i push the electric shift for 4 hi or 4 lo, i can hear the transfer case shift and I can feel it too, but the front wheels do not turn... is there something else that is wrong?
My transmission also has a bad seal between the transmission and transfer case. When I told them that over the phone I got the report back on paper that said "customer states transmission oil leak" "found engine oil leak" I know the engine leaks oil, its a small drip so I'm not worried as long as I watch it and keep the oil topped off.
I'm pretty pissed off because I had to pay for them to tell me what I already know and I'm going to take it back tomorrow. What makes it even worse is that it's been snowing every day (i'm in alaska, so its not going to melt any time soon ;) )
Is there anything I can check on my own that may locate the problem of my front wheels not get power or what?
