Funky Interior light/door ajar problem

I have a 200 TC, and it has an odd problem. When the car is a Park, Drive 3,2,1 or Nuetral, all the lights stay on and the door ajar indicator lights up. In reverse, the lights all go out and the door ajar indicator goes out. Here's the kicker: in reverse...if I open the door, the door ajar indicator lights up, and the lights come on. Help me before my wife sends it to the dealership!!!
