The only street race I have lost recently was from a modded EVO on a 70 roll. He must have done the "Brake boosting" Patented Porshhaaaaa technique.

Yeah, modded anything can be really fast, but people were saying that stock evos were as fast as an M3 from a roll so there's a video.

the Evo also has the disadvantage of being AWD... from a roll all those spinning parts is a disadvantage vs. 2wd cars.

///M3 would most likely win from a dig as well, as soon as it grabs, those things are fast as hell, and would probably eat up the EVO. Thats the way most German cars are. Killers from a roll, and from a dig, they just eat up distance.

What I wonder is: considering how loud the hiss was between the shifts, maybe he had an aftermarket BOV venting the air out instead of a proper recirculating valve. And venting the air out with a MAF car such as the evo will murder performance.
