Starting Problem

I have a starting problem:
When I go to start my '94 cutlass ciera 3.1L, it has a slow stutter start. Itll do the "crrrrank..crankcracrccrvroooom!" thing. It does this when the engine is both cold and warm, but worse when warm. It has never not started, but this problem is worrisome, especially with winter approaching.
My friend tested battery voltage (approx. 12.5 volts) and charging rate voltage (approx. 13.5 volts) and he said that seems normal, and there is no visible evidence of corrosion on battery or on cables but we only took a brief look due to time constraints today.
Any ideas? The chilton's repair manual has no troubleshooting guide whatsoever minus one for the cruise control.
My friend noted also that the motor mounts are relatively shot as the motor visibly shakes while idling and twists excessively when put in gear. There's not a chance that this excessive motor movement could cause stutter-starting is there? Thanks in advance!
