Hey:
I am new to the LS world and have some questions...I am reading on these forums and seeing that you all or most have a million problems! I checked out the Camry and they wanted way to much for a stock one, then I saw the LS and it was in my price range..Its a 2000 Lincoln LS with 40k Miles...It looks mint...Is there anything I should check out before leaving? Will this thing fall apart? I dunno. Some people have posted nightmares..
Just looking for a headsup..
Thanks
Brian

i wouldnt buy it unless it is a manual or without an extended warranty.
but check the windows listen for clunking sound at the end of travel, verify shifting is solid and timely with no kicking when shifted in reverse. Test the AC make sure the dual climate controls work well. turn on the heated seats

With 51K miles, I've had no problems whatsoever with my auto transmission, so I wouldn't necessarily pass on it for that reason. Typical problems are (1) clunking in the front suspension (2) rear view mirror fails to darken (3) headlights fog up (4) electric window failure, typically on the back, it seems. I believe all falls under warranty, except #3, but I'll bet time's up on it. I really enjoy my LS and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
