I just went to my local Hobby Town here in Boston, and found a Calsonic R32, and came out of the store with it.
This is my second model and am hoping to not screw up.
Any suggestions on what to look out for and what not to's would be nice.(tips)
I already searched on this and nothing :grinno: came up.

Dont rush it...take your time and plan the build out.
Read the FAQ to get the info you need then start building.

(i just started modeling last month)... as i remember they had a decent selection right?? i know there r/c parts were kinda on the expensive side..... how are the modeling prices???

I say....support your local (favorite) hobby shop. buy as many items from them as you can, this is the only way I know to help fight the department store from putting our hobby to an "internet only" status. I know you will pay a little more, but honestly, how many walmart stores have you gone into and talked for 2 hours about your hobby with the stock boy? to me it is worth the extra cost to have a friend who will go the extra mile for you, and hunt down that "unichorn". and besides, if you are a very regular customer, and friend you may get discounts or whatever. just food for thought next time you are at your local walmart shopping for models, and supplies.
now there is a flip side to this too....
MCG ignition wire, for example, although a really nice detail item, could be ALOT less expensive, c'mon $4.00/3'! radio shack has the same exact wire for $3.00/100'.
some things are rediculously priced, and should be sourced elsewhere for money saving reasons.
sorry for the long post, just speaking my mind.

well compared to the Hobby link jpan they are expensive, i mean i baught this kit for $27 and on the hlj i can get it for less than $18 and buy wheels and still pay less. but if youre lazy and dont like waiting a month like me, you should go, my next buy is that $27 dollar racing m Nsx in the top shelf.
Maybe we will meet up some time in the store :grinno:

This may be a tad off topic, but it's true about getting the cars cheaper from the internet sources. Today I went into my LHS with the intensions of walking out with a Tamiya Honda racing NSX with engine, yes I said Honda. My intensions were a TT street car with street interior. However, the only NSX was the MOBIL NSX, and it didn't (at least I don't think it did) have engine detail. What's worse is the price tag: $46.50 U.S.D. I usually get a 5-20% discount pending on how much I buy and what I spend. I thought this was terribly too much and ended up with a 70' Super Bee $13 usd, glue $1.20 usd, tamiya mica red $4.95, and hobby knife $1.15 for $15 usd even.
As much as I love spending hours in my LHS, the prices are killing me, I mean the one time I was so enthused about getting a new kit, and the price just stabbed me in the heart. I believe this kit can be had for about, what, $20-$25usd at HLJ?

The MOBIL 1 NSX does have engine detail... but $46 USD is still expensive.

It was the silver MOBIL nsx, if that makes a difference.

? To my knowledge, Tamiya only produced a white NSX.

?? Silver Mobil 1... then it shouldn't be a NSX from Tamiya !?! Well I never saw such a thing that's for sure.
