My rear 4 to 5 lug conver.. and painted calipers

Im gonna brag in this one for a little :p I just finished my project for the rear 4 to 5 lug conversion. I was going to do all 4 at once but i STILL cant find the 5 lug hubs for the front of a 240 anywhere, last place ill look is at a dealer, but till then ill keep looking still. SO since i had the rear ones off a 300zx i figures i can just do the rear and do the front later..

Painted my calipers red, nice and purty!!! then took off hubs replaced with 5 lug hubs, put the drilled and slotted rotors on, put the calipers back on, tightened everything. God some wheels off ebay for $150 for all 4, sweet deal!! on the SE stock rims. Got some 225/50 tires put on there at the shop. Mounted the wheels and ready to go!!!, im pretty happy with just the rear for now, looks sweet, with the drilled and slotted rotors and red calipers, looks like upgraded brake system, i love it.. I cant want to do the front :naughty:

Now that i have bigger real wheel and tires it makes my car look like a freaken dragster HAAHA!!! the back is probably like 2 inches higher than stock and front is all lowered, with this stock fronts and upgraded rears im sure people will be scared to race me now.. oooo!!!

Is that Eleanor in the background? And looks really good. It does look like you spent some $$$ on a brake upgrade.

Who cares about rear tires it's not like they matter. all that power is coming out of the fronts. Oh wait I remeber 240's aren't crappy rice FWD hondas. LOL ya they look nice and the rims look nice always liked 5 spoke would look nice with rimms that show off the rotors/calipers better but for that price :) what do those rims weigh?

You should have painted them off the car and without the pads so when you change the rear pads the piant wouldnt be holding it on. also I hope you used heat resistant paint.

anyone remember the guy that Sprayed the rotors, inside of the pads, and the caliper piston?

no he doesnt.he just has to get 5 lug s14 hubs they are direct replacement.you're thinking of s14 hubs on s13

1. yes thats eleanor in teh background there, good catch... i see you know your eleanors :naughty: I spent about $200 on the rotors and paint.. so $100 to do the read isnt much at all... and looks soo much better!!

2. Well i was going to take off the calipers and paint then on the side... but i didnt feel like dealing with bleeding the lines again and taking off the E-brake and all that stuff, so what i did is kept it on the stock set up and then masked it all off, cleaned it with fuel to degrease it and stuff> when i was painting i put about 8 coats of paint, i made sure i put paint everywhere i could, i spayed in the back too, but since the back you cant see it didnt really matter, but i did cover all i could.

3. Well i know front matter the most, but i cant do front yet because i dont have the hubs for the front, so i did the best i could on the rear for now. As for the wheels they are pretty light, they are aluminum stock SE rims... so if i was to guess id say 20lbs around or so.

4. You are right it is kinda dangerous i didnt even think about that, but since hte rear is light i didnt bother with the jack stands. Its for the front i will have the jackstands and all set up because of all that weight. thanks for looking out.

5. Well i had to be under the car so it was dangerous. To take off those hubs it was a pain!! there is no way i could have taken then off unless i get under the car and use a torque wrench to get those hub bolts loose.
