oil leak?

I put a new head on the car . The old one had striped rocker arm bolt and burt valves. There was a lot of oil crud ...the kind you get from over heating.
I cleaned what I could reach and cleared the passages as best as I could.
I am going to clean the oil pan tomorrow after I get a new gasket
I replaced the timing belt put it back together.
I started it to check the timing and I have oil coming out the top og the pan when it is running.
What happened to cause this, I did not remove the bottom cog or mess with the seal.
I think I left the screw out that holds the timing spring tension as the spring was broken when I took it apart, is that where the oil is pumping from?

if it was overheated most likely the lower seal is bad. also i have found that if you put a new head on bottom end without replacing the rings it will tend to start using oil

I pulled the oil seal it was very brittle , I am replacing it today. I hope that takes care of the leak. Ant tips for installing the new seal?

I put the new seal and oil poured out?

are you sure you put it in the right way, flat side out, lip facing in. also its real easy to knock little spring out or roll lip over installing it. if you do put another seal in also make sure part on crank that it rides on is not all rusty or chewed up

I put the new one on , it fit much easier and no leaks, it was a victor gasket from Japan.
I was driving it when the engin suddenly stopped at about 30 mph, died
seems my alternator got caught in the pulleys.
I believe this caused the timing belt to jump because it only runs on 2 cyl now.
The alt belt was too wide for the pulley!

Last time I buy belts from advance auto #*%^#$%##$$^$%!!

New timing and alt belt today I will post back after done

The belt was chewed from the tensioner spring that came off, I guess I didn't put it back on the right way.
The new belt is on and working great! It took about 3 hours on a lazy Saturday afternoon to replace the belt.
I left the spring and screw out thist time.
What was that spring on the car for. It seemed to serve no purpose after the belt is tight.
