Trying to replace a rear wiper motor. Can get to the motor just fine, but can't get the wiper arm off for the life of me....

The wiper arm has splines and is pressed onto the SPLINED shaft of the motor. The removal is simple: pry it off the shaft.
Caution: The arm is made of soft aluminum and usually these arms fall off the vehicle when the splines inside the arm mount strips out due to trying to wipe off a heavy load (i.e. wet snow). If the mount does strip out (like as a result of removing the arm), you can repair the arm mount by lining the inside (where the splines were). with masking tape and pressing it back on. The splines in the motor shaft will cut a new grip in the soft paper of the masking tape.
