I'm getting ready to change the oil in my 95 g/a. If I'm looking for performance what is the best possible oil and oil filter combination I can get? About how much will it cost?

If you want oil that will increase performance try Royal Purple. It is synthetic and will cost about $5 per quart. As far as an oil filter, I would go with a Wix filter as they are good quality and don't cost as much as a Mobil One filter. The wix may cost you around $6,
