Orange Valve Seal

I had to replace both of my head gaskets on my '97 venture with about 125 k on it after replacing both my lower intake manifold gaskets. While putting the rear cylinder head on, I noticed that one of the orange valve seals was out of the cylinder head and was on the valve stem( the last exhaust valve on the right side) . I am wondering if I need to put it back into the cylinder head myself or will the rocker compress the valve spring enough to push the seal back into its location?
