i was gonna peel out real good at a stop, so i revved it up and dumped the clutch, but nothing happenned i was jsut still revving, standing still. then i smelled something aweful. im pretty sure i burned the clutch, how bad is doing that? do i need a new clutch right away? or can i save up and then buy one, like an exedy

Depends on how it feels to drive. I did the same thing about a month ago, and my clutch is toast. I could feel the difference right off the bat, but I still drive it every day. As long as the clutch works, doesn't slip and not move the car when it's in gear (and just bring your revs up like crazy) then it should be ok for a little while.

this happened once on my friends car, and 1 year later he was still driving it. depends on how the clutch was before, and how long you held it. hard to tell, like civicspoon was saying, if the clutch feels different and is sliding then you need a new clutch, if not then it should be ok for alittle while but you just killed the life on the clutch

i feather the clutch a lot when i rev up usually, but i noticed that when before, when i brought the revs up to like 2500 then put it in gear, either feathering or dropping, the tires would spueak a bit, but now no, it does feel a little differant to drive, i came close to killing it, but i was still moving so it went herky jerky, but it was slower herking and jerking. first gear seems to be the only thing i notice being differant, and thats jsut when im from a stop to moving, it just feels a slight bit differant

Yeah Civic_D16Y5, that's exactly how mine is now too. It almost feels like the clutch is really rough and kind of scrapes (without any noise) and jerks back and forth or studders. But that usually goes away once I've driven it for a few minutes, but it still feels like it's slipping a little. But like I said it's been about a month since I did it, but changing the clutch is definently on my list of things to do in the next month or 2.
KaMaKaZiPyRo, I think you're clutch is a lot further gone. Like needs to be replaced immediately if it's that bad. When you start losing power and can't accelerate semi-normally then it's pretty messed up. I'd replace it pretty soon if I were you.
