glow gauges

What's up guys, i recently found out that my gauges glow, but they dont work. has anyone installed some glow gauges or know any information on how to fix the gauges.

Youre talking about the reverse glow gauges they sell on ebay right? So you mean that the backlight comes on but the accuracy is off?

no, they are not reversible. they're 2 color glow gauges, and it just doesnt work at all.

i installed glow gauges in my eclipse....

you could probably stand to use a voltmeter, check and see if you're getting power to the back of the gauges, put the postive lead on the back of the power cable going to the glowing part, and the negative lead on a grounded bolt or something. if it reads 12v, then that's fine.

then check the ground, and if that doesn't work, then it might be the gauges themselves.

if you're not getting any power to the gauges at all, then try connecting it to a different source.... personally i tapped into the rheostat for my old gauge lights, and so my gauges glow when i turn on my lights. any 12v source will do, though.

if that doesn't help, sorry... i tried my best :)

You can also use a 9V battery to check the wires off the back of the guages...

same IP address, JaggedFel states he is a guy in his posts when EclipseBabe95 states he is a girl. both say they have a 95 GS and a 01 YZF600R, pictures on the website are of a guy. sig and avatar are of a girl. Tells people he is a guy but posts as a girl to get faster responces.

lol fine you fuckin got me - the pic is of one of my good friends from school - its so friggin easy to manipulate us guys, when i posted as a girl i got an INCREDIBLE response, things were quicker, more accurate, more complete, more responses.... why the hell not do it? its not like i'll ever meet any of you in person, and it was hilarious for me and my friend in the pic to watch you guys do your best to hit on her. :)

what can i say? the responses i were getting as a male were short and took forever. so i beat the system for a little bit, and had some fun. who the hell are you to judge me? it worked flawlessly for a while, and would have for longer, if it weren't for dayna240sx's big mouth. :biggrin:

the red one is a guys i know, its a GS that i turboed and he blew the motor (rod bearings) so he is having me build it
