His power shakes the damn earth, superman is just a little girl. what can superman do better that goku cant do in a fight? hes gonna look through him with xray eyes? goku will shoot mad ki blasts (the light stuff that comes out of his hands) at his ass and he will be down and out. he died by that pussy doomsday. goku went vs people that can regerate body parts and blow up universes. Superman beat goku?!?! maybe when he was a little kid but no way would superman win considering that they both wear cups. superman is just a pretty boy. i bet goten could even kick his ass. no one can say that superman can beat goku. give me a reason how he could and ill prove it wrong :finger:

Superman = 99% the speed of light in Earth's atmosphere and 250x the Speed of Light in space

Goku = Can not move anywhere near the speed of light. Gotenks at SSJ3 at his fastest traveled around the earth in 8 minutes. Now if you can do the math, it's not the speed of light

Goku = Had trouble lifting 40 tons in base form and each SSJ form only increases powers by 3 times. He's nowhere near 40 billion tons

superman is unbeatable.

Superman is not unbeatable. Doomsday killed him(although at his current power levels, Doomsday would not be able too). Back when Goku was doing his blowing up worlds crap, Doomsday couldn't scratch Superman. Darkseid also beat Superman a lot back in the day but even he cant now but that's because Darkseid has been powered down. Superman and Darkseid of old would use Goku as a Volleyball. His planet destorying attacks would not phase them. Superman currently has been on a planet when it and 2 others around it exploded and he just brushed off the dust and flew off.

Oh and incase someone mentions the Earth shaking up when Goku is powering up, When Superman and Doomsday fought, them punching each other caused such a shockwave that it shook the earth. They did not power up. They were just punching each other.

I'm actually new to these boards. I was linked to the old Goku vs. Superman debate by another person. I was just amazed by the sheer stupidity that MidNiteMysT displayed. And then he tried to act all high and mighty because of it. People like that piss me off.

Superman is too powerful. He's just so plain, he was born with his powers...if he was around his peers he wouldn't be s**t. He's such a lame superhero for that reason. Superheros need a flaw, and a green rock isn't enough. :2cents:

ill throw in my two cents, i use to be HUGE dbz fan, had every episode in like 5 languages, but i grew up on superman and didnt grow out of it if u know wut i mean. now then goku is human and like all humans can be killed pretty easily (if you catch him off guard) you shoot superman in the back he gets pissed off, you shoot goku in the back and bye bye goku, as for whose stronger, ive seen them both lift mountains, superman may not have kamehameha but he has is laser vision which will easily slice goku in two (remember frezzas disks?) no matter how powerful you get u can still be cut however superman not being human cannot be cut in two (and it has been tried before, laser dont work on him). ill bet on superman anyday.

You have every episode in 5 different languages? I'm willing to bet that none of them are in your own known language. Goku is not human he's saiyan (hense super saiyan). It would al depend on which form goku was in, if he was in SS4 he'd tear Superman apart; anything else it'd be too close. He'd use a spirit bomb and disinegrate superman in no time. Goku is far more powerful than doomsday ever was, and doomsday killed superman; put 2 and 2 together. And if you brought the moon into play, Goku would kill superman even at SS1. He'd turn into a big ape and crush superman like a bug. And the fact that goku could grab superman, teleport them both to another planet away from the sun's rays and superman would be powerless. Although goku is stupid so if superman tricked him he'd have a good chance of killing him.

wow i have to expose my gay past here, but i used to watch dbz religiously and superman(first off goku is not a human he is a saiyan and if you were 1% of the dbz fan you claim to be you would of known that),now if we are talking about the cartoon superman in whatever show he is in now superman isnt even in the same league as goku, goku could flick superman in the forehead with his finger and kill him. serioulsy not being dumb here, wow im gaying for knowing so much about this, but comparing goku to superman is like comparing drag racing a funny car vs. civic.

WTF are you on? Superman doesn't get locked by anything. He can punch the moon and shatter it. DBZ characters cannot come near that. Their physical strength is nowhere near the strength of their ki blasts.

Gravity. If you're in a swimming pool, you could lift a 20lb weight with your big toe, because there is little to no gravity. So to say superman pulled the earth or juggled planets doesn't mean crap for an argument.

Also for the second statement, the force required to move the earth it would be absolutelly tremendous simply due to inertia even taking out of the equation other gravitational exertions

Lets define humanoid:an life form that resembles the looks of a man. If goku is a humanoid, so is Superman duh! Actually people spell it differtly and since it is a japanses translation Saiyan is just as correct as sayajin. And saiyan is also the way it is spelled in the dub(official english version) and i stopped watching DBZ the first time the beggining of the buu saga was aired about 3 years ago. And i have all the episodes in English, and most in Japanese

humanoid isnt just appearance. superman by looks is humanoid but is for the most part invincible while goku is not invincible. for instance fire wont burn superman but will burn goku... theyre both prolly pretty close in power but goku cant stand up to a beating like superman can. god i feel stupid even typing this... Man this is an awesome thread..personally I got my money on Goku especially in his higher levels. Maybe I'm biased cuzz i liked DBZ alot. I don't know much bout superman except for the cartoons I've seen him in and he seems to have a tough time with people throwing buses at him and stuff. Maybe in the comics hes a stronger guy though. Also why has no one mentioned kryptonite? Superman has a weakness, but Goku has no weakness like that. Plus if Goku really wanted to be tricky he could just use the dragon balls wuahahahah!

Sheesh. Getting so worked up. You'd think politics was involved. Lets face the facts, Superman would waste Goku in any form. High temperatures hurt him. Cooked by heat vision. He's fast but doesn't dodge well. Superman turns him into jelly. Goku's character is written that he makes those blasts (whatever they're called) but it sure takes him long enough to fire it off. Again, Superman turns him to jelly.

DBZ is a very entertaining series. I enjoyed it and its possible that the characters in there are more to the liking then the ones in the Superman mythos. For what its worth, the way the characters are written puts the S man as neigh unbeatable and Goku (or any of the other mortal characters in DBZ) are way overmatched.
