Well hooray. The sound system I was planning on selling to buy a better one from sparq is now gone. It was sitting in my living room, waiting to be sold to some friendly person of some sort or another. I left the house at 11pm to go to work, and my roommate gets home from work at 12:20am. He calls me and tells me someone kicked in our back door, and my stuff is gone. Three JL Audio 12w6's, and an Audiobahn A2300HCX amp. Over a grand worth of stereo equipment. The fact that nothing else was stolen (capacitor, boston acoustic 300W amp, our two computers, tv) tells me that it was someone who knew it was there. And the cops couldn't do anything about the stolen stuff because I bought it from a friend and had no receipts/serial numbers. *sigh*
Something also tells me that that there was more than one person, because one person couldn't carry 100+ pounds worth of equipment while running through the woods.
If I find out who did it, they're going to feel the butt end of the 30 caliber sniper rifle they didn't take.
Godamn thieves.

I won't lie about temptation. I've been tempted by some of the things other people have but my respect for other peoples property heavily outweighs the need to steal from others or vandalize personal property.
In my opinion, these people that stole form you are simply SCUM. If you find them, make sure you get a couple swings in for me.
...and the worst part of this all is that it's someone you know too, not necessarily a friend, but probably an aquaintance that a friend brought by. I'd look at those people first......

Yeah having something like this happen kind of shatters your illusions of security. I mean, what if they hadn't waited until no one was here and had hurt me or my friend? *sigh*
Life is weird lately.

statistics usually say that thieves work in groups of 2-4. they usually just snatch and run... maybe u came home and they had just got in and grabbed whatever they could carry

I usually avoid these thief or "I just got robbed" threads but, tonight I felt like reading this because I can relate... to a certain extent...
2 yrs. ago just a few weeks before X-mas, some phucking thieves decided to drop in my crib in broad daylight while I was at work. They took my bro's keyring (car, house, other keys included), our leather jackets, my whole N64 system & and other stuff that I can't recall at the moment. Because of their hustling & bustling around the house, they woke my wife who's still in bed. They then proceeded to my room. After being questioned of who they were from bumping into my wife at the bedroom door, they replied as to being my bro's friend's  and they quickly and silently made their exit out the front door (which had to have been open for some time because it requires a special technique to open). I assume that my wife was a bit lethargic and some what disoriented to notice what had transpired.
I'm just happy as phuck that nothing had happened to my wife. :)
Thieves (and the similar scum) do suck & should rot in hell!!!  :angryfire

Dude... You don't know how many emotions I went thru when I heard my wife's terrified voice when she called me at work.
The strange thing was... She called me before she called the cops! :D
Like I said, I guess she was still lethargic and disoriented.

I feel for you bro. I was just robbed to. They broke into my car and took and bunch of stereo equipmentand other stuff. I can guantee you that if someone tried to break in my house while I was there, I would gut atleast one of them with my spring loaded knife I always keep in my pocket. After being jacked I don't trust no one.
xivera - That must be really scary. Some strange person you don't know alone with your wife. I can't think of anything worse.

That really sucks. I only had about 30 of my cds in the car. Good thing I didn't have my binder. It's got about 200 cd's. And whoever broke into my car was really stupid. Cause they tried to pry the stereo out. It's still ok. Some of the metal frame is bent up. But I can fix it. And they used regular scissors to cut the amp wires. I know this cause they left one of the broken handles in the hatch where the wires came out form underneath the carpet.

i had ~100 CDs in the books, of those, approx. 6 were burned...and a few were 25-30 dollar double disc sets.....and what pisses me off the most, it was all CDs that no one listens to but me!! i had *NO* top 40 / pop CDs..i listen to metal, shoegazer (really mellow sub sub pop..), and $electronic_music (jungle, Drum n Bass, techno, house, breaks..) and other weird shit. not to mention, CDs that i cant get again....i had one CD that was autographed by all the members of one of my fav. bands (dispatch) it was a limited edition CD..and CDs that DJ/producers have given me over the years also, at parties in various states, that i wont get again...thats what pisses me off the most. i just want my CDs....i would have given the fucker the stereo, if given a choice.
the one thing i can joke about, i figure the reason they didnt touch any of the 4 computers, is that 3 were Apple Macs ;) (who the hell would steal one of those!? - lol)
